The Central Site Computing Center, located on the first floor of the Graduate College of Social Work, will be moving into the basement of M.D. Anderson Memorial Library during the summer.
"We have the opportunity to give students more in terms of technology and computing support," Director of Academic Technologies for Technology Support Services Sara Baber said.

Creative writing professor Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni was honored by the Literacy Advance of Houston last Friday for her contributions to the literary community.
Divakaruni, who was a poet before becoming a novelist, has won several awards, including the Pushcart Prize, the Allen Ginsberg Poetry Award as well as recognition from the Gerbode Foundation Award, among other accomplishments.

The University has announced that it has partnered with Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University and Methodist Hospital to found the Institute for Biomedical Imaging Sciences.
"The major goal is to have faculty members interacting and joining capabilities," IBIS Director King Li, who is chair of the radiology department at Methodist Hospital said.
