Web use policies
The Daily Cougar Online will activate links to UH e-mail addresses and websites that are provided in articles, columns, reviews, and Campus Spotlight submissions. However, by activating these links, the Department of Student Publications does not guarantee either the quality of external sites or the accuracy of information contained therein.
The Department of Student Publications considers requests for external links to The Daily Cougar Online Web site on a case-by-case basis.
In general, the Department does not grant persmission for links on personal Web pages. The Department does permit links on websites of collegiate and professional press organizations for purposes of maintaining collaborative agreements with these organizations.
Except for purposes of contractual online advertising, the Department does not grant permission for links intended for the promotion of products or services, or for links to websites where material on The Daily Cougar Online Web site, or the names of either the print or online publication, serve as testimonials or endorsements.
