Björk receives Golden Globe nominations; 'Dancer'
returns to theaters

Icelandic musician Björk has received a Golden Globe nomination for her outstanding work in the film Dancer in the Dark. She is also nominated for her song "I Have Seen It All," which she performs with Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke on the soundtrack.

David Morse and Björk star in Lars von Trier's Dancer in the Dark, for which the Icelandic songstress was nominated for two Golden Globe awards. The film will be re-released in theaters this winter.
Lars Von Trier's Dancer is a story about a Czech immigrant and single mother named Selma, a factory worker in rural America in the 1960s who harbors one dark secret. Her salvation is her passion for music and musicals.
Selma is losing her eyesight, the same fate her son Gene is going to suffer. She cannot put enough money away to secure him for an operation that will save his vision. When a neighbor accuses Selma of stealing his savings, the drama of her life escalates to a tragic finale.
Björk's portrayal of Selma is one of the most moving performances ever to grace the screen. Although it is her screen debut, her performance is amazing, as are her musical performances.
Dancer is the finale of Von Trier's suffering women trilogy.
Although it's already been in theaters, the film will be re-released this
winter.
