Effects of 2000 election
may be far-reaching
Vice President Al Gore's concession of the 2000 presidential race brought
an end to the longest and most convoluted election in more than a century.
But the effects of this year's political showdown may be felt well past

Album review:Past
and present come alive in Poe's 'Haunted'
Although it's somewhat morbid, Poe's sophomore album shows the singer-songwriter
reaching into the depths of her soul and drawing on her emotions. It's
a coming-of-age for a young woman whose father always told her she would
never make it as an artist.
Movie review: Save 'Thirteen
Days' for history class
Although Kevin Costner's new movie hits the mark historically, it falls
short of political intrigue. The Cuban Missile Crisis was never so boring.
Movie Reviews: 'Family
Man' is mediocre at best; 'Dude, where's the joke?'
Ah, the holidays -- another chance for Hollywood to bring us a sappy
sweet story of family life and a mindless, but funny, teen-predicament
movie. Unfortunately, these films are about as appealing as last year's
fruitcake.

W. Basketball enjoys
time in 'Paradise,' trounces Lady Ealges
The Lady Cougars' tough schedule, which has pitted them against some
