on Dec. 9 to promote Bells for Kids, a holiday drive benefiting the Boys
& Girls Clubs of Greater Houston. For every $1 donation, customers
receive a festive paper bell that will be displayed in their local Taco
Bell during the holidays. All the proceeds from the drive, which continues
through Dec. 31, go to the Boys & Girls Clubs.

The Battle of the Alamo is a part of Texas history

'Seven' disappoints loyal
Iglesias fans, draws larger audience
Don't expect the rhythm
of Enrique Iglesias' latest work to be quite as divine as his first English-language
album, Enrique. As co-producer and writer of his follow-up, Seven,
it's obvious Iglesias was eager to convert his Latin sound into a lame
rock 'n' roll-flavored pop sound.
Keaton and Nicholson shine
through weak plot
What's wrong with love stories these days? Why do films insist on stinking
up decent plots with the requisite bad laughs, annoying use of oldies and
that predictable break-up only to make up?
Rapper V-Zilla's 'Lockdown
Sessions' breaks away from stereotypical Houston sound
Across the hip-hop world, Houston's reputation is tightly associated
with one name: DJ Screw. His slowed-down music combined with the 'drrty'
vocals of the South form the quintessential sound of H-town. But not all
local rappers allow that stereotype to dictate their style, though. V-Zilla
(aka VG Skillz) proves just that in his December release, The Lockdown
Sessions

President wins
more than meets the eye
Ladies and gentlemen, we got him. After months of
fighting and the deaths of many innocent people, Saddam Hussein is finally
in American custody. The former dictator has been captured, and the coffin
is all but sealed for Democratic presidential hopefuls. His ruthless disregard
for human life aside, Saddam's capture is an incredible victory for President
Bush. Soldiers in Iraq have suddenly gotten something concrete and something
good to send back home. Pictures of Saddam are a welcomed break in the
stream of American casualties.
Students shouldn't cheat
First: Don't do it. All the reasons you've ever
been told not to cheat really are true. It deprives you of the very education
you're in school to receive. It isn't much, if any, more difficult to do
the work yourself.

is the Grinch
A 5-0 start to the season had the Lady Cougars flying
high. Two consecutive losses have brought the team back to earth. Houston
