SA releases sample ballot for `96 election

The University of Houston Students' Association released the sample ballot Wednesday for the March 6-7 SA elections.

According to SA officials, candidates drew for positions on the ballot.

Some candidates, originally listed as independent candidates, have now joined to form a new political party, The Change.

Vote tabulation for the election will be held Thursday, March 7, beginning at 7 p.m. in the University Center Bayou City Room.

Final results from the election will be posted the next day, Friday, at 3 p.m. in the UC World Affairs Lounge.

Run-off elections, if necessary, would be March 20-21.

SA is also looking for election poll workers. Full-time and part-time positions are available. To sign up, call the Election Commissioner at 743-5220, or fax information to 743-5222.
