The Houston Cougars golf team finished ninth in a field of 15 at the 1996 Carpet Capital Classic this weekend at The Farm in Dalton, Ga.
The team of five finished 33 over par through three rounds.
The Clemson Tigers took first place, going only five over par as a team through three rounds.
Lance Combrink led the Cougars, hitting two over par through three rounds of play and finishing tied for seventh individually.
Tim Clark of North Carolina State finished first individually, hitting 4 under par.
