The Houston Cougars will travel to Beaumont to face the Lamar Cardinals at 7 p.m. today at Vincent-Beck Stadium.

The match will be the final game of a four-game series that was spread throughout the season. The Cougars lead the series 2-1, picking up a 12-8 victory Feb. 20, and a 5-2 decision April 2, both at home. Houston lost 9-8 on March 12 in Beaumont.

Lamar is led by first baseman Morgan Walker, who is hitting .391 and has 45 RBIs on the season.

Houston has had strong support from infielders Brandon Milam and Dominic Hernandez, and outfielders Dustin Carr and Jason Schreiber, all of whom are batting over .300.

It will also be the final nonconference game of the season for the Cougars (26-25, 7-14), who have only four games left in the season.</
