Some schedules have missing pages

Some University of Houston students hoping to register for fall classes were disappointed yesterday when they picked up the new Summer/Fall '97 class schedule and found pages 65 through 80 were missing.

Lynda Radisi, UH Bookstore general manager, said she thinks the error was detected when a student who had purchased a schedule pointed it out Monday.

"It was not a majority that were messed up," Radisi said, although she admitted she did not know the exact number that were incorrect.

UH Printing Department Director Parker Floyd said Monday he had not been contacted about the error.

The department printed about 60,000 of the schedules and Floyd said "there may have been a handful that were messed up. ... The thing is printed in sections. We gather the sections and put them together to make the book." If there was a problem, there was only about "one-tenth of a percent of spoilage."

Students may bring the flawed schedules back to the bookstore and exchange them for complete schedules.
