The Houston Lady Cougars tennis team, 14-4 on the season and 8-2 in the region, closed out the regular season with two matches in three days this weekend at the UH Varsity Courts.

UH faces Southwestern Louisiana at 11 a.m. Saturday and Texas-El Paso at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

USL and UTEP will face each other 11 a.m. Sunday at the UH courts.

The Lady Cougars saw a six-match wining streak end with a loss to Arkansas Sunday. Sophomore Luciane Kelbert had the sole win for UH in the 5-1 loss.

Houston will compete in the Conference USA Tennis Championships beginning next Thursday in Tampa, Fla.

Cougar golf on the green

The Houston Cougars golf team closes out its regular season as host of the All America Intercollegiate Saturday and Sunday.

The Cougars are also the hosts of the C-USA Golf Championships beginning Tuesday in West Columbia.

The Houston Cougars track and field team competes in the UCLA Triangular all day Saturday in Los Angeles.
