The No. 16 Houston Cougars (25-12 overall, 12-3 Conference USA) take on Big 12 opponent Texas A&M at 7 p.m. today at Olsen Field, in College Station.
The Aggies (30-15, 13-8) are coming off a 3-0 win against Nebraska Sunday. A&M will probably start freshman pitcher Steve Scarborough (2-1, 6.50 ERA).
The possible starter for Houston is junior hurler Jon McDonald (4-2, 6.53 ERA).
It is the second time the teams will face each other this season. Houston beat the then-No. 24 Aggies 6-4 on March 19 at Cougar Field.
