The third of four shows in a unique series titled The no tsu oH, Eric Niebuhr presents Hey Eric, What's Cookin? Each artist was asked to create a specific art piece involving donuts and cupcakes. The show will include conventional types of art, such as photography, painting and sculpture along with nontraditional subjects. Gallery hours are noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Scream: Miramax says you asked for it, and the chiller with a wink in its eye is back, now at the perfect time for true horror fans. Neve Campbell, Drew Barrymore, Courteney Cox and Skeet Ulrich all add to the gore factor.

Native Houstonian Robert Faber's first production, Invitation to the Madhouse, a look at the irritating topic of writer's block, will open at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Barn-Red Playhouse. Performances are at 8 p.m. Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays through May 31. Tickets are $5 to $10.
The Backstage Ensemble will offer a young people's summer workshop in June and July, which includes a eight-week session of classes, rehearsals, performances and technical production.
