I have been a guest of the editorial staff for a few weeks. I'm writing now just to let you know that your column on "America does not need another canonized idol" (March 26, 1998) is a refreshing opinion piece on today's culture. Your thoughts are clearly articulated, and the arguments are well structured. You turned a normally trite fluff piece into a serious topic worthy of attention. Your work shows off the maturity level that a newspaper such as The Daily Cougar can and should reflect. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Keep up the good work.
