Clear Lakers unite: The Bay Area Club of the Houston Alumni Organization will award a $1,000 scholarship to a current UH student from the greater Clear Lake or Galveston area based on demonstrated academic achievement, student involvement and leadership, community service and financial need. Donations welcome: Psi Chi, the national psychology honor society, has adopted the Star of Hope homeless shelter and will maintain a box for donations in Room 132K, Heyne Building. Among the most-needed items for donation are towels, disposable diapers and nonperishable food.
Together, we can help: The Escape Family Resource Center is looking for volunteers in Harris and Fort Bend counties to help the organization serve families in crisis to prevent child abuse.
