Davis finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 61-6 1/4. He also finished 12th in the discus with a throw of 180-1.
Darling finished sixth in the 400 meters in 46.65 seconds to earn three points as Houston's men's team tied for 27th place with a total of eight points.
Ifoma Jones finished 18th in the women's heptathlon with 4,774 points. Lisa Duffus and Vernetta Rolle did not qualify for the finals in each of their respective events.
The NCAA championships marked the last meet for retiring head track coach Tom Tellez. Tellez announced his retirement before leading Houston to the C-USA men's and women's outdoor track and field championships May 14 through 16.
