Donations welcome: Psi Chi, the national psychology honor society, has adopted the Star of Hope homeless shelter and will maintain a box for donations in Room 132K, Heyne Building. Among the most-needed items for donation are towels, disposable diapers and nonperishable food.
Together, we can help: The Escape Family Resource Center is looking for volunteers in Harris and Fort Bend counties to help the organization serve families in crisis to prevent child abuse. Volunteers should be able to spend three to five hours each week working with families in children. To volunteer, or for more information, call Ken Crowley at (713) 942-9500.
Put that in writing: The Office of Ombudservices reminds those undergraduates planning to receive a baccalaureate degree from UH that they are required to demonstrate writing proficiency prior to graduation.
