Thursday's article about the Faculty Senate meeting contained information that needs correcting and clarifying.
University of Houston System Chancellor/UH President Arthur Smith told The Daily Cougar he is not worried that UH will lose quality professors because of a lack of pay increases. There was a 5 percent faculty pay increase this year. Smith also said that university policy does allow counter offers but cannot always assure that a professor will receive a comparable counter offer from UH.
