The Lady Cougar basketball team lost to UAB Friday at Bartow Arena, 61-58.
Houston was led by Jennifer Jones, who scored 15 points. Freshman center Sharonda Lasseter recorded her seventh double-double of the season, collecting 14 points and 16 rebounds.
The Lady Cougars finished off their regular season with an 82-66 loss against Memphis on Sunday. They ended the season 9-17 overall, 3-13 in Conference USA.
The C-USA Tournament begins on Friday in Louisville, Ky.
The Cougar tennis team overcame a 2-0 deficit against nationally-ranked SMU to claim a 6-3 win Saturday at the UH courts. It lost to TCU on Sunday, 7-2.
The UH track and field teams both finished second to Abilene-Christian in the Houston Indoor Invitational Saturday at Yeoman Field House.
The UH women's team scored 125 points to Abilene Christian's 128. Houston produced one individual champion.
The men's Abilene Christian team scored 114, ahead of UH's 90.5 points. The Cougar men produced two individual champions.
Houston will be back in action on Friday for the Conference USA Championships at Hillside, Ill.
