UH promotes good vision with free eye screenings Prof sues Pumpkins for hearing loss

The UH College of Optometry is celebrating "Save Your Vision Week" by offering free vision screenings March 9-11. To promote awareness of the importance of good vision, professors and
students of the College of Optometry will be conducting eye examinations
at UH through March 9.
The statistics are accessible and staggering. Study after study shows
that approximately two-thirds of all inmates end up back in prison on repeat
offenses after only a few years. Anyone who has seen the numbers can draw
only one conclusion: Our prison system is not deterring criminals.
Perhaps the word "clone" has been used with frequency to describe fresh,
new rock bands, especially in the typical, four-man format so often seen
these days.
Joe DiMaggio, the New Yankee legend and one of the most respected men
in the game of baseball, died Monday at his home in Hollywood, Fla. He
was 84.
