The University Center's Houston Room and American Café will undergo
an extensive makeover with renovations scheduled to begin in early May.
Last week I received a chain e-mail from a friend in Ohio. It is an
attempt to get consumers to stop buying gasoline April 30th. It's "The
Great Gas Out."
Define "requiem." I'll bet you can't. Branford Marsalis' latest release with the same name does a superb job of defining it for all of us. The eldest and arguably most talented member of the Marsalis family,
often called "the first family of jazz," is back on the scene.
The formula always works. A good team wins the majority of its games
at home and plays .500 ball on the road, but a great team wins everywhere.
And the 1999 Baylor Bears are following that formula to perfection this
season.
