This fall, many freshmen at UH will again be unable to register for
basic classes because the University has neither the faculty nor the facilities
to accommodate the growing number of students in the freshman classes,
UH President Arthur K. Smith said at a news conference last week.
Usually, one relies on friends and peers to define -- at least to a
certain degree -- one's identity. It is not necessarily something that
is consciously done; it just happens.
For the next two weeks, your tube will definitely be on the hot spot.
Besides your usual TV programming, the networks are racing each other,
actually bringing you decent shows that will make up for those less-than-grade-A
programs.
A pitching staff that returns 11 starters is good news. A pitching staff
that is led by an All-America candidate is even better news.
