Search committees ae now in the advanced stages of selecting candidates to fill four open dean positions in the College of Business Administration, the Graduate School of Social Work, the College of Humanities, Fine Arts and Communication and the School of Graduate Studies. In order to maintain economic growth in Texas, the state Legislature
must provide public universities with more funding for research porgrams,
UH President Arthur K. Smith told a state appropriations subcommittee Tuesday
ar the Capitol.
The First Amendment protects pornography. It protects crossburning.
It protects hate-filled, bigoted rhetoric. The First Amendment does
not protect Neal Hursley.
There are so many ways to blame kids for the foolishness acts they partake
in these days. People blame it on television, music or even literature.
