UH advocates joined forces Tuesday to visit the state Capitol and meet
with state legislators regarding the University's budget requests this
legislative session.
The other day, I was approached for the umpteenth time by a member of
such-and-such Church of God, inviting me to some fellowship, Bible study,
movie night or whatever. These invitations are annoying, to say the least,
but I am glad when I get them. I even wish I was accosted more often.
Dancin' in the aisles. Drinkin' 'till you can't stand up straight. Partyin'
like it's 1999. No, it's not New Year's yet, and no, the Rockets haven't
won the championship again.
In a six-hour-and-45-minute marathon at Cougar Field, the Baylor Bears
(8-4) outlasted the No. 24-ranked Houston Cougars 8-2 in the 22nd inning
Sunday night.
Won't you play a simple melody?
