A former UH student who was arrested for sexually assaulting a campus
resident last year, but was later cleared of the charges, filed suit Thursday
against the University and the UH Police Department for at least $1.5 million.
After bungling an attempt last November to dismiss UH Police Chief George
Hess, UH administration quietly retreated to rethink its strategy and formulate
a new plan. More than a mandate, "Operation: Get George" emerged as administrative
sport.
