Workers attempt to cut branches off of a tree in front of the Moores School of Music Tuesday. During the next couple of weeks, radio station KUHF will join UH's public
television station in their new home, the LeRoy and Lucile Melcher Center
for Public Broadcasting.
Who's in Charge of the GOP? Whitlock: What makes a good vice president? Some say a veep should provide geographic, ideological balance or flesh out a candidate's own views. Really, though, how important is a vice president once the election is through (and arguably even during the election)? Forsberg: In the realm of politics, one of the most oft repeated
lies has to be, "When I picked the vice-presidential candidate, I wasn't
thinking of politics, but rather his qualifications to assume the presidency."

Lady of Eternal Sunny Delights, doesn't get your attention and your
feet rocking, then perhaps you're dead ... musically. Free Radicals continues
to revitalize Houston's oftentimes boring music scene with tunes that won't
easily fade from the listener's memory.
There's no time to be cute. There's no time to be funny. There's no time to hit y'all with a long, self-praising, shout-out heavy, egotistical ranting introduction. It's all usually well deserved, but let's get on with it. |
