Students line up to purchase coffee at the cart located at Philip Guthrie Hoffman Hall on Thursday afternoon. Rain, wind and temperatures dipping into the mid-30s combined to create one of the most inclement days yet this winter. The UH Charter School of Technology on Thursday celebrated its third
anniversary with a birthday party and a $10,000 gift.
Wow! All the columnists I've known in the past complained that they
never received any responses for what they wrote. I got three responses
after people saw my very first regularly featured column. I'm so pleased!
The Emperor and The Assassin, co-written and directed by Chen
Kaige, is an elaborate epic about a man's ambition to unify China. During
the third century B.C., the King of Qin, Ying Zheng (Li Xuejian) and his
concubine Zhao (Gong Li) have a dream about seeing their country at peace
while being ruled by a benevolent emperor.
