Cougar tennis set
to begin season Saturday
Cougar Sports Services The Spring tennis season kicks off on Saturday when the UH tennis team returns to action against the University of Texas-San Antonio. Head coach Jennifer Hyde enters her first Spring season with the Cougars after taking over the program's head job last August. The Cougars return six members to the eight-player squad. Seniors Galina Seliounina and Mette Sigmundstad along with junior Sarah Borwell will lead the Cougars into battle. Seliounina posted a 10-7 singles record in the Fall, while Sigmundstad had an 8-4 mark. Borwell was held out of competition in the Fall; she was recovering from back surgery. A late addition to the schedule was Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, who will face the Cougars on the UH Varsity Courts on Sunday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Saturday's action versus UTSA will start at 1:30 in the afternoon.
