Firetrucks and uniformed firefighters make their way on Main Street to Rice Stadium on Friday to attend the memorial service honoring fallen firefighters Kimberly Ann Smith and Lewis E. Mayo III, both of whom lost their lives as they battled an arson fire at the McDonald's at 12602 Bissonnet on Feb. 14. With the recent onset of Internet hacking attacks and the seemingly
impossible task of quickly capturing and prosecuting whoever is responsible
for them, many are questioning the Web's effectiveness and security.
"Welcome" is an all too familiar sound as you go online in search of
test grades, class notes or pictures of Catherine Zeta Jones for your wallpaper.
If this weekend's showing at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo was
any indication of what we can expect for the next two weeks, this just
might be one of the greatest Rodeos ever.
UH starting pitcher Duncan McAdoo was looking for that chance after having a rocky first start against Southwest Texas last weekend. |
