Revolution Party will
run on SGA ballot

A third slate of candidates will run for
office in the Student Government Association, The Daily Cougar learned
Monday.
The Cougar Revolution Party, which has
no presidential candidate, will run against sitting SGA President James
Robertson Jr.'s Student Voice Party and former Honors College Sen. Bill
Kelly's UH United Party.
The candidates for Cougar Revolution are:
Brian Bennett, vice president; Brant Wallace,
student regent; Ramon Nunez, at-large position 1; Jimmy Alvarado, at-large
2; Will Dres, at-large 3; Soloman Mengisteab, at-large 4; Patrick Thompkins,
Business 1; Amir Enami, Business 2; Cliff Haryanto, Business 3; and Michael
Knight, Business 4.
Also on the ticket are Stuart Clements,
Honors; Haney Gherezhier, Hotel and Restaurant Management; Eric Idahi,
Engineering 2; Keri Kubala, Education 2; Amber Bennett, Natural Sciences
and Mathematics 1; Yoshi Nagaoka, NSM 2; April Gonzales, NSM 3; and Ofon
Bassey, Technology.
Rounding out the Cougar Revolution slate
are Aaron Aradin, Humanities, Fine Arts and Communication 1; Casandra Alston,
HFAC 2; Allison Roberts, HFAC 3; Michele LaRocco, HFAC 4; Megan Shoop,
Social Sciences 1; Adrian M. Campos, SS 2; and Hill Powell, SS 3.
This brings the total number of candidates
in the election to 84. A communication error between the SGA Election Commission
and the Cougar kept the Cougar Revolution party from being listed with
the other SGA candidates Monday.
