the
Bobcats
After suffering a loss at the hands of
crosstown rival Rice on Tuesday, the Houston Cougars rebounded by defeating
Southwest Texas State, 73-59, before 3,156 fans at Hofheinz Pavilion on
Saturday.
UH's
rogers receives All-America honors
Following a season in which he recorded
24 tackles for a loss (137 total), senior UH linebacker Wayne Rogers was
named to the All-America Third Team list by Football News.
Lady
Cougars go 1-2 on road trip
Lady Cougar fans following the UH women's
basketball team this past week on the Internet heard some strange things:
freshman guard/forward Chandi Jones yelling in the face of a referee and
senior guard/forward Mone't Sykes held pointless in 32 minutes of play.

finishes 3rd at Holiday Classic
Turkeys may have been stuffed this weekend,
but the Texas-San Antonio Road Runners refused to lay down as they fought
off the UH women's volleyball team on Friday to play and win the championship
match of the 2000 Houston Holiday Classic in Hofheinz Pavilion.
