Moving mountains: Victor Rey, a supervisor
for the UH grounds crew, uses a tree spade to move a tree near the M.D.
Anderson Memorial Library on Tuesday.
Greek Park Housing, a project
requested by UH student organizations since 1985, is scheduled to become
a reality by the Fall 2003 semester with a price tag of about $20 million,
Dean of Students and Assistant Vice President for Student Development William
Munson said.
I don't often write about campus
events. Very little, other than my forced education, happens on this campus
that is of concern to me. That was, until last Friday. At the monthly meeting
of the UH Student Publications Committee, the committee's members from
the Student Government Association, as well as numerous members of the
UH public, cried foul over numerous issues regarding the fine publication
you are presently reading. Some of their arguments were justified; others
weren't. But the way they made those arguments was, quite frankly, childish.

lights dim, words and actions are staged to illustrate the ideas of an
aspiring playwright. One would think the chance to debut a written work
in such a skilled manner is far from achievable, but for students of the
Edward Albee New Playwrights Workshop 2002, the hopes have become reality.
In a close battle of hometown
giants, the No. 7 Houston baseball team traveled to Reckling Park to face
No. 3 Rice in the Silver Glove series finale Tuesday and was defeated 7-5
in a game that held the crowd's excitement until the very end.
