Enviro-friendly: Construction crews continue to
move trees near M.D. Anderson Memorial Library on Tuesday as part of the
library's new expansion project. The expansion, to be completed by Fall
2004, will cost $45 million and will give additional space to the library
and the Honors College.
The UH System Board of Regents
on May 15 approved plans submitted by the Cesar Pelli & Associates
architecture firm for a new $51 million
science, engineering and classroom building.
Sometime soon in California, high
school students in several Northern Los Angeles schools will not be able
to attend graduation unless
college or military bound after graduation.
Now, critics are complaining that
Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones has too much action and that
the cheesy love story is laden with
terrible dialogue and acting that falls
short of a middle school play.
But the Cougars still potentially
have a long way to go before their season is over. Houston was defeated
by East Carolina in the championship game of the C-USA tournament, but
despite the loss, the Cougars managed to score the No. 1 seed in the NCAA
Regional in Mesa, Ariz. at Hohokam Park. The Cougars and South Alabama
are the only two No. 1 seeds in the NCAA Regionals that are not hosting
a tournament.
