'Identity'
adds new face to spy thrillers
If you've seen the preview for The Bourne
Identity, you probably thought, "Hey, Matt stole one of Ben's movies, that
doesn't seem fair!" You may even start to question your faith in friendship,
and overall goodness in Hollywood.
'Windtalkers'
fails with bad script and lack of realism
John Woo's Windtalkers doesn't just throw
realism out the window. It walks it down the street, gives it a pair of
cement shoes and
tosses it over a cliff.
Movie-turned-musical
is not so hot
For its inaugural musical in the brand
new Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Houston, Theatre Under
The Stars
(TUTS) has opted to go with the movie-turned-musical
Some Like It Hot, a comedy dragged into the spirit of Bosom Buddies, Mrs.
Doubtfire and Tootsie.
Latest
effort proves Korn intends to keep growing
Korn debuted in 1994 with a heavy dose
of metal- and hip-hop-inspired beats and rhythms. Its lyrics, courtesy
of lead singer
Jonathan Davis, weren't dripping with
angst, unlike most of that era's soon-to-be-dead grunge acts. They were
seething with anger.
There wasn't any catharsis involved. Davis
was more than content to wallow in that anger instead of using the music
to work through
it.
