Football, basketball coaches
give insight

Buchanan spoke
Thursday at the Saltgrass Steakhouse in
Meyerland Plaza to update Cougar alumni regarding upcoming seasons.

Buchanan spoke first about the Lady Cougars,
who went to the Women's National Invitational Tournament championship last
season.
Head coach Joe Curl was not able to attend
because he was in Dallas working to make a better team.
"Everything is going very well," Buchanan
said in regard to recruiting.
Coach McCallum showed much excitement for
next season despite George Williams' decision to go pro and Marcus Oliver
tearing his anterior
cruciate ligament in June. McCallum said
that it won't stop the Cougars from having a bigger and better season.
"(Marcus Oliver) is a tough kid and
may be able to play in December," McCallum
said.
Dimel gave startling news about redshirt
senior running back Chris Robertson, who did massive damage to his knee
during the Red and White
game this Spring.
"Chris Robertson may be back for the Rice
game," Dimel said.
All three coaches alluded to bigger and
better seasons this year due to recruiting and the hard work that all the
players put in to achieve success.
