University staff members will
have an opportunity to make their voices heard Aug. 7 when they cast their
ballots in the Staff Council elections.
A weary House of Representatives
passed a version of the "fast track" legislation by a three-member margin
at 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning. If approved by the Senate, which is very
likely, the bill gives the president the power to negotiate trade deals
with foreign nations, with the agreements either approved or knocked down
by Congress, with no power to amend.
In 1975, following the end of
a 20-year-long anti-communism campaign by the United States, millions of
Vietnamese fled their homeland and scattered across the world. Green Dragon
is about those who made it to Camp Pendleton, an army base the size of
Rhode Island outside of San Diego, used to hold Vietnamese refugees in
the U.S. until proper housing was made available
"Inside the Lines" is a look into
the world of the Cougar football team. Each week Mark Hopkins gives his
thoughts on the week that was, game preparations, weekly routine and life
as a student athlete. Today he talks about how members of the football
team are encouraged to maintain healthy and balanced diets to maintain
prime physical conditioning before and during the season.
