Disease plague man's existence

We seem to have many "enemies." They're so often referred to as consisting of an unspecified group of terrorists, but are these people
really our enemies? They appear to be living, breathing beings, like everyone else. They do not appear threatening in pictures on
television. They probably have families, mothers, fathers and children.
 

Times of crisis demand dialogues

In the days after the horrific tragedy that we now call "9-11," there could be heard a ubiquitous whisper that "things are never going to be
the same." After almost three months, it seems that prediction was correct. The United States is mobilized at home and abroad and the
world wearily looks forward to a conflict-filled future.
 

Bring holiday cheer to children who need it

It's that time of year. The semester is ending and the holiday season is here. Many of us will be going home … home to our families,
home to our pets, home to gifts and love and security. One of the most important things that should not be overlooked, especially when
celebrating this holiday season, is that we actually have homes.
