Disease
plague man's existence
We seem to have many "enemies." They're
so often referred to as consisting of an unspecified group of terrorists,
but are these people
really our enemies? They appear to be
living, breathing beings, like everyone else. They do not appear threatening
in pictures on
television. They probably have families,
mothers, fathers and children.
Times
of crisis demand dialogues
In the days after the horrific tragedy
that we now call "9-11," there could be heard a ubiquitous whisper that
"things are never going to be
the same." After almost three months,
it seems that prediction was correct. The United States is mobilized at
home and abroad and the
world wearily looks forward to a conflict-filled
future.
Bring
holiday cheer to children who need it
It's that time of year. The semester is
ending and the holiday season is here. Many of us will be going home …
home to our families,
home to our pets, home to gifts and love
and security. One of the most important things that should not be overlooked,
especially when
celebrating this holiday season, is that
we actually have homes.
