Revenge — to inflict punishment in return
for (injury or insult); to seek or take vengeance for (oneself or another
person); avenge; the act
of taking vengeance for injuries or wrongs;
retaliation.
Many scorned lovers, disgruntled neighbors
and backstabbing co-workers have employed the ancient art of revenge.
Now, there's no need to slash your ex's
tires or salt the earth of your neighbor's garden. There is a Web site
where the truth will prevail,
others are forever warned and revenge
is satisfied. www.youdontwantmyex.com is a place where all the lying, cheating
and
backstabbing can be made public.
The Web site is for adults only, since
most complaints contain much derogatory name-calling and angry curse words,
but they sure are
fun to read.
To post your own whine, simply log on to
the Web site and choose your reason for revenge: ex-boyfriend/ex-girlfriend,
neighbor, in-laws
or co-workers.
After your selection has been made, there
is an option to choose the region in which you're warning. Complaints stem
from every coast of
the United States to Mexico, New Zealand
and Japan.
Then fill out a vague profile on the one
you hate, including name (no last names), gender, location and birth date.
There is also a place
for your own information so others may
sympathize by e-mail.
Rant and rave to your heart's content because
there is no limitation on space or censorship of content. After you feel
better about getting
the word out, read other people's dilemmas,
because there are always a few worse than yours.
The United States has by far the most grumbles,
with California ranking in as No. 1 with 164 broken hearts. Texas, however,
only claims
29, but maybe that's because of our southern
hospitality ... yeah, right.
There are plenty of sob stories going around
campus, and with everyone's input, we too can be the highest-ranked pathetic
state in the
nation. Get mad, get on and get even.
