Love is in the air: Senior management information
systems major Lina Alquadwa sells flowers to anyone in search of a last-minute
Valentine's Day gift Thursday at the University Center during the Matters
of the Heart Festival.
The UH System Board of Regents
unanimously approved a tuition increase for all campuses in the UH System
and granted permission for construction of a student services building
at UH-Clear Lake during a Thursday morning meeting.
After being nauseatingly bombarded
with commercialism and heart-shaped candy, I can definitely say this: The
best thing about Feb. 14 is that the overwhelming tidal wave of commercialism
ends Feb. 15.
Assigned to oversee the first
arrival of prisoners shipped to the deserted land of Botany Bay, Australia,
in 1788, Governor-in-Chief Arthur Philip decides to put on a play. An educated
and artistic fellow, the governor's intentions are altruistic, and the
audience later witnesses how his idea forms into a vehicle of hope for
the convicts under his command.
UH golfer Scott Ferguson fired
a 1-under-par 71 during the first round of the Waikoloa Intercollegiate
on Wednesday to stand in
