TOP STORIES
Apathy,
rain keep away many voters
Students and poll workers alike skipped
out on the second day of Student Government Association voting, with some
locations understaffed and others seeing as little as one voter per hour.
Art
limits obstruct free speech
It's interesting how much art scares
people. No matter how realized the art or how original the message being
conveyed is, if the art is in anyway different, new or risk-taking it seems
that some elements in society have a knee-jerk-to-someone-else's-groin
reaction to it.
Cougars
fight off cats and dogs
With eight consecutive wins and a
13-2 record for its last 15 games, saying the Cougar softball team is on
a roll would be a mild understatement. It'll look to stay on a roll as
it returns to tournament play. The Cougars host Missouri and Boston for
the Houston Fastpitch Classic at the Cougar Softball Stadium on Saturday
and Sunday.
Presidents
rock the vote for lively fans
The band that made it OK to make sexual
innuendoes through songs about insects, The Presidents of the United States
of America, flashed a lucky audience back to the mid-'90s at Fitzgerald's
Wednesday night.
