Arts & Entertainment Doors, Bozo Porno, play local venues weekend shows Shiley Carter The highlight of this weekendis shows is going to be a new experience for some and a journey into the musical past for others. The Doorsi original members Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger have joined forces with drummer Stuart Copeland and vocalist Ian Astbury to bring to life the music that defined a generation and changed the face of music.
Rock band Bozo Porno Circusi fetish performers will shock and scare at Numbers Saturday night as part of Flesh Fest 3. Photo courtesy of Bozo Porno Circus The 21st Century Doors, as they are calling themselves for the tour, have caused a plethora of controversy. Most of The Doorsi fans feel it is inappropriate to replace singer and lyricist Jim Morrison. Morrison, sometimes referred to as the "American Poet," is often looked at as the defining member of The Doors. His rebel image has been seen across the world, though he died in 1971. The tour will hit Houston on Friday night at the Verizon Wireless Theater. If youire not interested in the Doors, you can make your way to the Engine Room to check out Lucinda Williams, Mando Saenz, John Egan and Alexis Moore. On the flipside, Fitzgeraldis will be the venue to check out great bands Ale, Washed, Chrome 44 and Deep Six. The Paladins and Redd Volkeart will break down the beats at the Continental Club, or you can go get rowdy at Sharkyis with Reckless and The Trademark. Saturday night has a hot spot as well. While Morrison may have been the rebel image of his day, go to Numbers to check out the insanity of Flesh Fest 3. Bozo Porno Circusi sexy, performers will unleash everyoneis fetish side as the bandis industrial, robotic sounds hypnotize the venue and show what 21st century rebels are truly about. If the fetish dancers donit show enough flesh to fulfill your needs, then maybe the trained group Constructs of Ritual Evolution can help you satisfy that craving by suspending themselves by metal hooks placed through their skin. However, if the thought of people hanging in mid-air by hooks in their flesh makes you sick, then you might opt to head over to Rudyardis where you can see Tiger Named Lovesick, Flowers to Hide and Frox Noxon. Arizenme and Pimpadelic will be laying down the beats at Fitz while
Dynamite Boy will be blowing things up at Java Jazz Café.
