Campus crime update

The following is a report of campus crime between March 21 and March 27. All information is selected from the files of the UH Police Department. The information in italics shows when the event was reported to UHPD and the eventis location. Information or questions regarding the cases below should be directed to UHPD by calling 713-743-0600.

March 21

Theft, 12:01 p.m., Campus Recreation and Wellness Center ­ Individual reported the theft of UH radios by unknown person(s). Occurred between 6 p.m. March 19 and 9 a.m. March 20.

Theft of a motor vehicle, 1:38 p.m., Corbin J. Robertson Stadium ­ Complainant reported the theft of a utility golf cart by unknown person(s). Occurred between 2:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. March 21.

March 22

Assault by threat, 1:22 a.m., Lot 15D ­ Two visitors were arrested for verbal assault and transported to Harris County jail. Occurred between 1 a.m. and 1:22 a.m. March 22.

Burglary of a motor vehicle, 6:45 a.m., Lot 19F ­ Staff member reported the burglary of her motor vehicle. No suspects. Occurred between 10 p.m. March 20 and 6:30 a.m. March 21.

Theft, 10:29 a.m., Lamar Fleming Jr. Building ­ Complainant reported unknown person(s) stole his secured bicycle. No suspects. Occurred between 10:30 a.m. March 21 and 10:25 a.m. March 22.

March 24 

Terroristic threat, 7:37 a.m., LeRoy and Lucile Melcher Hall ­ An unknown male called in a bomb threat to UHPD. Occurred at 7:37 a.m. March 24.

Criminal mischief, 8:17 a.m., Cullen Oaks visitor parking lot ­ Complainant reported unknown person(s) damaged her car by placing vulgar graffiti on passenger door. Occurred between 12:30 p.m. March 21 and an unknown time March 22.

March 25

Theft, 12:32 p.m., Roy G. Cullen ­ Complainant reported UH cash currency was stolen from his locked office desk drawer. No suspects. Occurred between 5:30 p.m. March 24 and 12:15 p.m. March 25.

Possession of marijuana, 3:22 p.m., Moody Towers Residence Halls ­ An adult student was arrested for possession of marijuana and transported to Harris County jail. Student and Residential Life referrals were issued. Occurred between 3:22 p.m. and 4:03 p.m. March 25.

March 26

Harassment, 12:41 p.m., Moody Towers Residence Halls ­ Complainant reported receiving profane telephone calls from known person. Occurred between 3:04 a.m. to 3:40 a.m. March 26.

March 27

Indecent exposure, 11:13 a.m., University Center Underground Plaza ­ Complainant reported that an unknown adult male exposed himself to her. Occurred at 2:30 p.m. March 26.
