He bogeyed two holes but got back under par with back-to-back birdies on the 17th and 18th holes. Arizona Stateis Alejandro Canizares won the individual championship with a combined 4-under-par 212.

Senior Simon Robinson shot a 1-over-par 73 in the final round to move up to 33rd place with a combined 9-over-par 225.

Senior Brett Callas began the second round as the top Cougar on the board. But he shot a 6-over-par 78 on Monday and a 5-over-par 77 on Tuesday to finish in a five-way tie for 49th place.

Senior Kevin Newman finished at 14-over-par 230 and tied for 54th while freshman Zach Mowbray tied for 71st place at 22-over-par 238. Only the top four scores counted toward the team score.

The Cougars are off until April 11 when they go back to Arizona to compete at the Arizona State Invitational. The Conference USA Championships follow April 21.
