Core art exhibit is random insanity
Each year, the Core Residency Program at the Glassell School of Art awards nine-month residencies to eight promising young artists.

Guests attending Monday and Tuesday nightsi performance by the piano-driven Gonzalo Rubalcaba Trio didnit receive the straightforward blissfulness of Caribbean classics by Eddie Palmieri, Tito Puente or Mongo Santamaria.

Since the music industry and their wretched magazines have decided the public is bored with rap-rock and plastic pop stars, theyive decided to give the spotlight back to rock ini roll. 
 

Tavern alternative to clubs
Here's a bit of advice for those of you trying to get out during the week: Give up those overcrowded, $20-cover-charging sweatfests called clubs.

Itis a rough time for girl-boy garage-rock duos right now. Whether they are minimally, or blatantly, horrible, there is a colossal hype machine working for them.
