Modern developments made possible by genetics research
will bring many legal and ethical questions to debate with far-ranging
social and health impacts, Janis Hutchinson, a professor of anthropology,

Tran, UH junior, dies in accident
Vera Tran, 21, a biology junior at UH, wanted to be a
doctor, but her dreams died Tuesday when a tragic traffic accident claimed
her life.
'Cougar Idol' competition in search
of UH talent
Ten UH students will showcase their vocal talent in the
University of Houston's first-ever "Cougar Idol" on Thursday, April 24
at 7:00 p.m. in the Cullen Performance Hall, and students appear excited.
