Clubs crusade against
bank policy
After watching his organizationis checking balance dip
each month at the mercy of a new Woodforest National Bank policy, Nick
Somarakis, president of the College Democrats, decided to take a stand
by initiating a letter-writing campaign and student petition to reverse
the policy and restore free checking.
'Human shield' for Iraq to discuss
war
A member of the peace activism group Human Shields will
use his experience in Iraq to provide insight into the possible repercussions
of the subsiding war in a presentation at UH today.

scholarship entries
The UH Womenis Studies Program is ready to shovel out
more than $40,000 in scholarships for prospective and returning UH students
