Divided
With American troops fighting and dying in Afghanistan
and Iraq, there's no better way to celebrate our nation's birthday than
by paying tribute to the millions of Americans that fought and died so
their vision of America could live.

I was amazed by the amount of e-mail I received in response
to last week's column (I've been too busy to reply to most of them). Apparently,
I was right -- a lot of us are more than ready to drop our masks and share
our true selves with the world. That, of course, is only half the battle.

The good thing about Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
is that it makes few attempts to cover its clumsy tracks through time.
If Johnny Moscow and Co. spent two hours spewing out time-travel jargon,
audiences would have been ranting "Hasta la vista" to Arnold Schwarzenegger's
shady android who likes the comeback theme.
