Gray's performance
is rich with hypnotism, seduction
Don't let David Gray fool you. He may produce albums
full of pretty singer/songwriter pop gems (or "secretary rock" as some
call it), but he just uses that as bait to draw you to his concerts, where
he then turns your favorite tune into a 10-minute wall of lush noise, rich
with seduction and hypnotism.
Confident Liz Phair assures audience
Sunday night at the Verizon Wireless Theatre, scores
of Jason Mraz fans were treated to a criminally short set by indie legend
Liz Phair.
Hotwire album falls, in nu-metal
'Routine'
Every so often in the annals of music, a band comes along
to wake up the industry and prove that musical innovation still exists.
To put it simply, Hotwire is not that band. The best part of their major
label debut is the appropriateness of its title: The Routine. Every track
on this album is a standard and mundane imitation of the sound that Staind,
Linkin Park and Korn helped to create. Hotwire steals the crown of contrived
rock from reigning kings, Limp Bizkit.
