Cougars chow down on Owls

Cougar Sports Services

When Athletics Director Dave Maggard was introduced to the UH community last winter, he said the Cougars should never lose to Rice in anything. The football team started its 5-7 season by beating the Owls 24-10 in its 2002 season-opener.

Now itis the baseball teamis chance for a little retribution.

The annual Silver Glove Series pits Houston against Rice in five regular-season games. The Cougars get home-field advantage this season, with three of the games being played at Cougar Field.
