News Symphony to honor Columbia astronauts Cougar News Services The Houston Symphony will honor the seven crew members of the space shuttle Columbia with a special performance tonight. Susan Graham, one of todayis most acclaimed opera singers and star of the Houston Grand Operais current production of Franz Leharis <I>The Merry Widow<P>, will join Houston Symphony music director Hans Graf for the concert. Barbara Zelon, the assistant director for Space Flight Awareness at the Johnson Space Center, will also attend the performance as a NASA representative. The concert is "our way of remembering those seven brave people and paying tribute to their heroism and sacrifice for the advancement of humanity," Graf said. The concert is at 7:30 p.m. tonight, at Jones Hall. The Hall is located at 615 Louisiana Street (between Texas Street and Capitol Street). The performance will also be broadcast live on KUHF 88.7 FM. Admission is free, but seats can be reserved by calling the Houston
Symphony Customer Service Center at 713-224-7575.
