Space program must
continue
At 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning, all talk of Iraq, North
Korea, the economy, and the other nonsense I usually write about was wiped
off the front pages, and thus the Opinion pages.
Poetry and politics should mix
"To have great poets," Walt Whitman once said, "there
must be great audiences too."
Bush can't justify war on Iraq
Just after George W. Bush took office as president, I
commented to a friend that within five years the United States would be
at war. My friend did not believe me.
